FIELD BRIEFING

Type to fire. Every specimen carries a word over its head. Finish the word and your rifle fires one round at it. There is no aiming and no movement — the transit rail carries you from chamber to chamber.
The first letter picks your target. Press a key and you lock onto a specimen whose word starts with it. Two of them offering the same letter? You get whichever is closest to your crosshair.
Finish the word, then go anywhere. A word in progress holds you — you cannot abandon it halfway by typing at something else. But the moment it lands you are free again, so you can walk two specimens down a word at a time, back and forth. Backspace steps back a letter; hold it or press Esc to abandon a word you started by mistake.
Tougher specimens take more words. Their health bar is the number of words left in them. Bosses take dozens.
They are walking at you. Anything that reaches you starts tearing at your health bar and does not stop. Kill the closest threat first.
Every tenth chamber holds a boss. Long compound words, a chamber full of adds, and a health bar across the top of the screen.
It never ends. The words get longer, then capitalised, then hyphenated, then they start growing digits. See how deep you get.
Two players share a cave. A specimen someone else is typing turns their colour — your keystrokes will find a different target first. If your partner goes down, a revive word appears over them; type it fast.
